it certainly is peak but #1 ? calm down a bit buddy.. the depth of story cant touch Fanren… i’d put it 2nd probably just because its mostly endless fights and not as much story for young folks probably is better but not for me.

I will never understand this depth argument. As someone who loves both RI and RMJI, that fact that we are currently on another planet in another universe is already more depth than RMJI. Which has more enemies: RI, which has more treasures: RI, which has more locations: RI, which has more cultivation techniques: RI, which has more levels of cultivation: RI.
But even putting all that aside. The depth of RMJI doesnt even come close to the level at which we see in RI, the hidden schemes, the returning characters, the tens of side arch plots that have either, happened, are happening or are going to happen. Like Wang lins return to planet suzuka, and what EVERYONE there is up to, what about Tou Sen, what about Situ Nan, Li Muwans resurrection… I could go on for days
The difference in my opinion that makes fanren so good is simply they’ve created a verse that make each step in cultivation feel extremely rewarding, they make characters that you don’t want to see leave. and once again i could go on. They both are peak.
Both RMJI and RI is good. But RMJI has the edge because of it’s superior animation, and way less censorship.
If no one has noticed, RI censors really hard to the extreme, especially wang lin’s killing/ruthless nature, which is a big turn-off. You can thank Tencent for that 😔

It puts more time and details in the charackter. This is something that RI does not and cannot surpass. I agree, RMJI has more depth, the character development is top notch, the scheming done with both the MC and the enemy which is rare, is very well thought out and realistic, its quite refreshing seeing nemesis actually have a brain and are smart and strong and not just the MC. The animation especially put it above all other dounghua, the battle music and adventure music is also better. Don’t get me wrong (RI) is amazing and have very in depth thought out plot. But RMJI does have an edge.
Can’t wait for the new season in June 13 2026. It was announced last week ^^
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, I’ve read the novel and it is by far my all time favorite novel, but the pacing of RI is too fast. RMJI’s pace is like reading the novel itself. The world and character building is the best I’ve seen. They ought to slow it down or else RI will be done in like 2 years.
but people arguing about RMJI being better than XYZ in a non RMJI episode/discussion either have an unresolved childhood trauma , heart demon or qi deviation that caused them to always feel the need to push their ‘current’ fav / oshi series to always be number 1.
eg: people who glaze BttH when Renegade Immortal was just starting in 2023 etc

So… did the rain celestial guy that made the chariots steal the beast to leash it to the machine? Or was it an investment so the thunder/lightning celestials could have their own personalized chariot? Either way they didn’t get it, because all the celestials seem to have been nearly wiped out. But its enough to scare the hell out of the locals.
